The Mansour Collection: A Tribute to Al Mansour Eddahbi

At jYANN, we honor the rich legacy of the Moroccan history and heritage through contemporary and eco chic designs. Our latest tribute to this philosophy is the Mansour Collection, named after Al Mansour Eddahbi, a figure synonymous with sophistication, wiseness and excellence.

Celebrating Heritage

Inspired by Al Mansour Eddahbi, the Mansour Collection at jYANN embodies elegance, deep craftsmanship techniques, and incredible natural wool feet striped designs. This collection is a testament to the meticulous craftsmanship of our artisans, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Morocco.

Al Mansour Eddahbi, the sultan of the Saadian dynasty, is celebrated for his monumental contributions to Moroccan architecture and culture. He is best known for constructing the magnificent Badi Palace in Marrakech, a symbol of grandeur and artistic excellence. The palace, adorned with Italian marble and gold from Sudan, was a masterpiece of Islamic architecture and a testament to the Sultan’s vision of beauty and luxury.

Elegance in Every Detail

The Mansour Collection features the four following designs & shapes

Handbag: Compact and elegant, perfect for carrying essentials with ease

Basket Bag: A touch of rustic charm blended with modern use

Tote Bag: Versatile and stylish, ideal for both work and leisure

2.0 Tote Bag: A modern reinterpretation of the classic tote, with enhanced space and functionality

The color palette of this collection is inspired by natural elements such as clay, sand, plaster, and pisé Kasbah architecture. These four elements are deeply rooted in Moroccan natural rituals used in cooking, bathing, and daily living. As the cherry on top, these colors come from natural wool fibers, all undyed and unprocessed.

Each bag in the Mansour Collection is crafted using intricate wool felting techniques perfected over centuries. Our team of creative director and artisans bring their skill and dedication to every piece, ensuring each bag is a work of timeless elegance and chic minimalism. Crafted from natural wool, the bags are durable and elegant, with striped designs that reflect the rich cultural tapestry of Morocco.

The color palette of this collection is inspired by natural elements such as clay, desert, ivory white plaster, and pisé used in the ancient Amazigh Kasbah.

As time goes by we strengthen our Mansour signature, a tribute to Al Mastour Eddahbi a sultan than embodied values of authenticity, elegance and a strong desire for heriatge conservation.

First Shooting: The Old Medina and Badi Palace

Our first photoshoot for the Mansour Collection took place in the historic Old Medina of Marrakech, with the iconic Badi Palace as the backdrop. The Old Medina, with its labyrinthine alleys and vibrant ochre shades, provided the perfect setting to showcase our collection. The Badi Palace, despite its current ruins, still exudes an aura of former glory and splendor, making it an ideal location to highlight the elegance and heritage of our bags.
